Sunflowers as a symbol of a bright future

Yesterday, the 7th of May, the Association of Ukrainians in the Republic of Ireland (AURI) held a charity event supporting Ukraine.

Organised event Maria Starukh with the help of Paul from Eco-Centre. Together we planted sunflower seeds, ate borscht, and talked about important things.

Thanks, Michael O’Dowd, Paul & Kim from Sonairtefor, for supporting us, Trisha McDonnell for donating chocolate to kids, and Patrick and Michael from Corduff Busses for providing transfer to the Eco-Centre location.

Since 2014, Ukrainian sunflower fields have symbolised our war for independence and a European future without Soviet and Russian heritage. Ukrainian sunflower seeds are sure to germinate and bear fruit.

We are for peace after the victory. We are for freedom without occupation.
