Representatives of our team, volunteers of the Association of Ukrainians in the Republic of Ireland were invited to the scientific symposium “Ukraine: Empire, War and Migration”. The organizer of the event was the Center for the Study of Transnational Conflicts, Moore Institute.
The purpose of the event was to compare Ireland and Ukraine, their history, all similarities and differences.
We had the opportunity to listen to the lectures of international scientists who compared the Russian imperial attitudes towards Ukraine with those of Great Britain – towards Ireland; analyzed Russia’s similarities with the Third Reich; heard conclusions about the utopian plans and ambitions of the Rashka as a whole; to take part in discussions with specialists in the history of different countries – Ireland, Canada, Great Britain, Ukraine and others.
