Happy Christmas from the Ukrainian community in Cavan
Events
On the Christmas Day, we want to wish both the Irish and our compatriots great happiness, indestructibility, prosperity and faith that good always wins!
The year 2022 is passing – a difficult and at the same time fateful. The year changed forever not only us Ukrainians. For the whole world, this year has passed under the sign of Ukraine. It was we who reminded what the struggle for freedom is, gave an example of incredible perseverance and faith in the best even in the darkest times.
Ukrainians forced to leave Ukraine because of the war received asylum and warm hospitality in other countries. Thousands of our citizens were sheltered by Ireland, which will always be in our hearts.
On the Christmas Day, we want to wish both the Irish and our compatriots great happiness, indestructibility, prosperity and faith that good always wins! We sincerely believe that the joint efforts of our countries will bring victory closer and our citizens will be able to return home.
Thanks to the Irish people for their support, hospitality and genuine sincerity! Thank you that Ireland in this difficult time has become a second home for Ukrainians, a place where we can all feel safe and continue our life.
Heather Humphreys, Brendan Smith, TD and Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council John Paul Feeley, and Hazel Leahy! Thank you for your efforts, for the fact that Ukrainians living in County Cavan can communicate, relax, learn, develop together. Warmest thoughts and best wishes for a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. May peace, love, and prosperity follow you and your families always.
