«From Ukraine to Ireland»: the event for Ukrainians who are looking for work in Ireland – how it was

With the support of ESB Energy for Generations, GingFar and the Immigrant Council of Ireland, a free event for migrants from Ukraine to Ireland was held in Dublin on 31 May.

The event was held in a hybrid format and was able to receive more than 450 people in person and online.

The speakers of the event were Ukrainian women who have lived in Ireland for a long time and are ready to share their experiences and thoughts on the differences between Ukraine and Ireland, how to adapt to the country, find a job, access education and other topics. The event was also attended by a representative of the Immigrant Council of Ireland, who answered questions from participants about the status of temporary protection, visas and other immigration issues.

One of the speakers – Marianna Hercovszka shared her impressions:
«I want to say that the event was extremely important, both for me personally and for other girls speakers, because we are Ukrainian and we care about our country, our people. Yes, we have been living abroad for many years, but we all have families, relatives and friends who are in Ukraine. I also think the whole world has seen that Ukrainians are one and we are one big family, so I am convinced that it is our duty to help each other»
