Victory at Eurovision 2022, a clip of the Kalush Orchestra
This year, the Ukrainian band Kalush Orchestra won the Eurovision-2022 Song Contest. It was enchanting!
Especially important for every Ukrainian was the moment when the band appealed to the whole world to save the defenders of Mariupol from Azovstal. Even the «кremlin» could not ignore this statement, which helped save the severely wounded, exhausted and already desperate Ukrainian military.
The next day after winning the competition, a video for the song “Stefania” was presented.
The video for the song was shot in the cities of Kyiv region, which were under russian occupation at the beginning of the full-scale war. These are Bucha, Borodyanka, Irpin and Gostomel.
Describing the song, the band’s frontman Oleh Psyuk wrote: «The war completely changed the meaning of this song – and this is reflected in the video. The footage is not for the faint of heart, it is very deep and painful».
